RayFW
Does any body know of anywhere in the North West that'll re cover my Markbass 121H in carpet? My cat has been using it as an expensive scratching post and it's starting to look a bit of a mess.

Mr Bassman
Get yourself a beard trimmer, it works, honest!
lee650
Hi mate Bought a new accugroove tri110 today, and put on top of my other one only then did i notice the cat rash!!!! So as you say the most expensive cat posts ever and i have three cats sheesh!!!! so any tips would be great, perhaps a blunt razor(gillette) just to trim the sticky out bits of carpets (it works with suits when your guitar strap starts to bobble it.) Not sure if its worth recovering, cats adore bass cabs [attachment=5999:P5200015.JPG][attachment=6000:P5200013.JPG] 8 out of 10 cats prefer bass cabs : All the best-LEE Does any body know of anywhere in the North West that'll re cover my Markbass 121H in carpet? ednaplate
My cats have done exactly the same thing with my Trace Elliot combo. An electric shaver will tidy it up if you are careful. I also need to glue some of the carpet back in place. Bloody cats!
RayFW
Thanks for the tips. I hadn't thought about using a hair trimmer. I've got a mains one kicking about that I use from time to time - I'll give it a go later. Maybe I should shave the cat at the same time as punishment. Lee, Those pics are ace. The second one had me chuckling away.
thedontcarebear
I always cover my cabs up so the cat doesn't get to them, if you want to recover it's an easy job though, even I have done it before, and I'm proper lazy.
tauzero
I used to nail some carpet to the wall for them to use as a scratching post. Mind you, carpetted cabs hadn't been invented back then and they weren't interested in trying to use leatherette-covered gear.
RayFW
Gave it a "number 1" with the Wahl clippers and then an extra touch up without a guard and it's almost as new now! I've bought a Roqsolid cover for it and hopefully that'll keep the pesky little bugger off it. Thanks for the tips.

Welshbassist
My cats REALLY like my UL410, but thankfully I got a cover as a part of the sale (cheers Owen), which solved the problem before it started. They sleep on the cover, which isn't bad really. You should see the state of my Ashdown EB though! Welshbassist
I'm not 100%, but I think he got it with the amp when he bought it as well! Pianocoversonline.com only do the 210 and 410, not the 310 for some reason . Sorry mate! Maybe if you ask Owen, he might be able to send you in the right track!
