Davewick
Hi!!!! I want sell a beautiful Sadowsky Tokyo, made in japan. The bass has 1 piece ash body, maple neck and fretboard, Badass bridge and Sadowsky Pu and electronic. In active mode, the bass has the same sound of Miller, in passive mode, it's sound very vintage Mr. Sadowsky himself say that the Tokyo was produced with the same quality of the Nyc at about 35% less than the cost of american Sadowsky ( http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/sadowsky-...613/#post685156 ) The bass is new, bought and never used (it has the certificate of authenticity). Some pics: I would sell at 1220£ with hard case and european ship incluse, but i'm open to trade with high quality basses, or with a Corvette $$+cash. joe_bass
So this is one of the first Sadowskys made in the Tokyo workshop? Hence the differences from the now established Metro lines? Either way under a grand for a Sadowsky instrument, in as new condition as well, is a steal!
Davewick
Joe, the only thing that i can say about the quality of Tokio, is that this line of bass was directly contender of the Sadowsky Nyc, the Metro is also an high quality bass, but Mr.Sadowsky tell to the japanese workshop to "reduce" the quality, for an obviously interest. The reasoning is:Why i should buy a bass that cost about 35% more of a bass that give the same quality at a lower price??? However, i sold the bass at 1100 euro only until tuesday, after i raise the price to 1250 euro, so hurry
joe_bass
I'm not knocking the quality of it at all, & on this note the Metros are the same quality as NYCs as stated by Roger. My question is is this bass one of the first to be made at Sadowsky Tokyo?
Davewick
Sorry, i haven't understand!!! If i remember correctly, this bass was produced by the 2000 for few years (like one or two), so i think that was the first line produced at Sadowsky Tokyo
joe_bass
Awesome, so it's some thing a bit rarer than the standard Metro! Good luck with the sale, seems a good one for anyone considering a Sadowsky
