bigevilman
I've had my eden wt800 now for a while, and have gone through many different cabinet combinations with it (ampeg 810, 2 nemesis 2x10's, and finishing on the BF compact). I've just joined another band recently (well....2 bands in 1) and feel like a change is needed. I've been playing through a Fender JB for a while, and have just bought a Spector Legend Custom 5er recently, to be able to mimic the old bassists sound (another BCer, Benh). So....the styles I'm doing are:- Blues Rock, Indie, Classic Rock & Glam Rock. I wouldn't mind a lightweight head to complement the compact, but I'm gonna be needing something thats versatile as well as powerful. Does anyone have any ideas where I should start? I've been looking at the TC electronics RH heads, but I'm not sure whether 450 watts will be enough? (i know i know i know....wattage isn't directly linked with volume!). Other ones I've considered are the GB shuttle 6.0, LMIII and SA450. Any help would be greeeeeaaaaaatly appreciated
bigevilman
No-one got any opinions? :/
whynot
Looking at your style list, I would say the RH450 would be perfect. Don't be put of by the 450 tag, it's a loud little beast as many on here will confirm. Have also heard some Basschatters own both TC and Barefaced. Lozz196
I had a TC Classic 450, and it was plenty loud enough, even using one 8 ohm cab, so not getting the full 450 watts. So I can`t imagine that the RH450, at the same wattage would suffer any volume/power issues. I`d also thoroughly recommend checking out the Ampeg PF-500 - if you like Ampeg tones that is. Very versatile, lightweight, powerful, and Andertons currently have them at £299.
