Contemplating (only.. at present) selling one of my favourite 5's (still short of funds / other things not selling). This one is a Roscoe LG3005 (other one is a Valenti J5 here:- http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1425 ).

Roscoe LG 3005
... an amazing instrument and one of the nicest 5's I've owned. The 'B' is legendary and the instrument plays really well, having been recently serviced: frets have been levelled (it only had one high spot which has been fixed), intonated, neck adjusted, action reset, etc.

LG-3005 Roscoe 5 String Bass. Standard Features:
35" Scale - 24 Frets
String spacing: 1 3/4" at the nut 2 7/8" at the 24th fret
Small Hand Carved Body
Book matched figured maple top over choice of body woods (ASH)
Cordovan Translucent wine finish (difficult to show in photos)
Exclusive graphite and steel reinforced precision adjustable neck (Spalted Brazilian Rosewood f/board)
Lightweight Hipshot tuning keys in black
Precision milled custom design bridge by Wilkinson in black
Hand carved GraphTech nut
9 volt dual-pickup Bartolini electronics with volume, blend, bass and treble

that fretboard is fabulous. I have a very early 4 string version of these - its fantastic to play, and the pickups and preamps sound really nice

This looks good for me . Russ buys the Roscoe and does all the legwork getting it down from up North. He gets bored of it after a year and that way I only have a 20 minute drive to go take it off his hands lol

;D nice- That does seem to be the average lifespan of my basses-

It's a bit far for me to travel at the moment, not going to be able to take any time off work for a bit and my weekends are rather full for ages to come.

Would love to try it out though

The Roscoe is now up on ebay (can't resist those 10p Listings Day/s!):-

For B'Ch Forum members I'd be happy to reduce by the ebay fees and include free (24h.) shippping, enabling me to end the listing early.
