Telebass Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 They are Fenders (Japan, '91 - '94). Not many around... Quote

philw Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 There was one for sale here a few months ago. I know that 'cause I was the one doing the selling. It went abroad I'm afraid. Phil Quote
Bigwan Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 I remember lusting after one of those in the early/mid 90's. I think Mike Inez played one in the video for 'Mama I'm coming Home' (Ozzy)... Quote
gareth Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 This is my HMT variation, essentially the same bass but with a pointy head and pointy bit Quote
RhysP Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Is the bridge on these known as a "Bent Bit Of Wood"? Quote
gareth Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Here is one:- http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f126/fender-...ecision-781336/ You just have to sweet talk him into shipping to the UK Quote

I didn't change anything on the bass other than the setup. I got it playing pretty well with a nice low action – the combination of neck-tilt and truss rod adjustment rather fried my brain though. It went to a guy in France. Can't remember his name now but I Googled him at the time and he seemed reasonably well known on the French Jazz scene. He seemed very happy with the bass. It was a lovely, characterful instrument dripping with mojo, but not a patch on more contemporary versions of the semi-solid concept. Phil Quote

The Dark Lord Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 I'm another one who's not a big fan of the pointy headstock. Quote
