Wil
It looks like a Series 1 to me. The Series 1 had a wood neck, bass and treble cut/boost and bright switch, and 5/7 piece body. I've got a 5 string Series 1 that doesn't have wings as exotic as that, and its a great bass. Very growly. As for value, my one cost me £250, but as I said its not got nice wings like that and had a few dents. I'd say around £450 tops. OutToPlayJazz
Yes, it looks like a higher spec S1. Could also be an Energy Artist, but they usually only had the three controls (only a tone boost & no little switch.) Just looked through the brochures on Statii.com. It's definitely a Series I (made at about the same period as the Empathy. It has an identical body shape to the Series 2/Empathy but with bolt on, graphite re-enforced wooden neck & 2-band eq. Value as the others said, up to £450 if it's a nice one. Edited February 28, 2008 by OutToPlayJazz
