Wotcher
Recently found a beaten up but largely original Fender Musicmaster bass. Never had a shortscale before. At some stage of it's life it had been stripped, stained and then brush laquered. Despite the abuse I really liked the way it played and sounded. It appears to be almost all original - bridge, pots, pickup and knobs - in fact only the scratchplate is obviously not original and I've replaced the missing tugbar and installed a new nut. Also had a go at refinishing - since the damage was already done! I went for a matching headstock just because the stain was so deep into the wood. What do you reckon? Shire
Looking good! I used to own a '72 Musicmaster which now lives with its new owner in Holland. I quite liked the short scale and vintage vibe but I could never get on with the way it sounded
