Jase Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Not a bad job if you're into relics that is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FENDER-SQUIRE-CUSTOM...1QQcmdZViewItem Quote
barneythedog Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 yeah, I saw that one, but £380 for a second hand squier (and it's not even a Jap one) Quote
Jase Posted February 27, 2008 Author Posted February 27, 2008 Yeah, bit pricey as you say, nonetheless nice bit of porn to oggle Quote
Sibob Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Looks nice! Kudos to him for actually saying its a Squire, but yeah, bit pricey! Si Quote
Paul Cooke Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 (edited) What's the bets that in a few years time, if not sooner, someone will pass that one off on an unsuspecting punter as a real Fender? I hate it when they stick a Fender decal on the headstock... ps. I'm relicing my VMJ the proper way... over several years... Edited February 27, 2008 by Paul Cooke Quote
warwickhunt Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 That is actually better than most and would certainly fool the unsuspecting Fender noobie. Quote

Are you doing just the paint work or is the hardware getting the treatment too? Quote
3V17C Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 hardware will be getting 'the treatment' too! - basically i got the bass secondhand ages ago but the guy i got it off must have kept it in his shed or something so the pickups and control plate are already quite rusty/pitted etc which is what gave me the idea to go the whole hog and relic it. peace c Quote
