Active and Passive P-bass

Hi guys, im currently coming up with ideas for a project and was wondering if it was possible to wire a p-bass so that it could be active and passive. Maybe with a switch to choose between the two? How would i go about this?

Yes, it's a function of the preamp circuit really - Bartolini and Aguilar both have active / passive switching
Many others too no doubt...
