Musicman20 Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 DB112s heavily scooped?! I know the GS might have a scoop, but the DB series is mid-central! Looking good btw. What are the normal 'aesthetics' of the stock Matamp 2x12 cabinets? Quote

barteroo2002 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 It looks pink to me, but I have to admit - I like it a lot!! I've always thought a pink bass would be a bit Rock and Roll in tis own little way - now I'm convinced a Pink Bass Rig is the better way to go!? I am in a psych-rock band fronted by a woman so maybe it can work? Quote
tayste_2000 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Yeah it's nice when you also have a matching 8x10, 4x10 and GT200 all in the same colour to match the above. Though they don't have anymore of it so I'm having to pick another red for all my future stuff. Quote
Finbar Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011
the new small amp in a couple of weeks, has he spoken to you about that looking forward to trying it out.
Tell me more. Quote
Finbar Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I know it won't be one, but how awesome would a GT200 pre with a light class D power section be? Quote
tayste_2000 Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I really can't say............................... yet. I'm going down in a week or 2 and should be able to tell everyone then once I've been able to make sure it works as it should and sounds like a Matamp should. Quote

They built me a couple of 4x12s a few years back to match an old Marshall Superbass I had. Jeff's pretty hilarious, has a tendency to drift off mid sentence though! Sound as a pound Quote

Ancient Mariner Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011
a mate of mine (Martin) worked for Matamp as a builder and is now going solo http://www.martamp.com/ he mostly does all valve guitar amps but he does do nice cab builds too...ask him for a quote (and a timescale - he's usually quite busy), lovely guy though.
I knew Martin from 18watt.com - great bloke. It's good to see the business has taken off for him. Quote
charic Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Hmmm... RH450 with Matamp cab? Could be interesting Quote
tayste_2000 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Forget the 2x12 this is what you need 600w of tube power (give or take) Quote
smb Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Tayste I always love the pictures of your Matamp stuff. I've got a cab on the way, wish I had the cash for a Matamp head. Quote
tayste_2000 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 What cab is inbound? Are you going to collect? I'm planning a trip to the factory on the 18th July incase anyone wants to meet up and hang out. My next cab will be one of Matamps new secret projects and it will really make this rig scary Quote
smb Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Oh no it's not new and it's just a 112 for practice. Your rig already looks pretty scary to me! What sort of thing do you play? Quote
tayste_2000 Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Check us out here www.ourinnocencelost.com I only really take the 8x10 out and occasionally the smaller cabs for smaller gigs, I'm just getting something that makes the 4x10 into a big rig so I have a choice incase I want to take something a bit different or if I want to take loads to like an outdoor festival Quote
