cycrowave
my vote goes to michael shuman's gibson ripper, also great to see mani from primal scream rocking it on an epi. the guy from the eels had the best looking p-bass imo

clauster
Morrisey's bassist had the coolest. Was it a Hayman?

Beedster
Might be a daft question and probably covered elsewhere, but why did Plan B's bassist have the logo of his bass taped over, was he otherwise in breach of an endorsement deal or something? BigRedX
You know in this age of corporate sponsorship for just about everything there's a case for covering up logos from manufacturers who aren't doing you some sort of deal. I know if I was in a band big enough to be playing gigs like Glastonbury I'd probably have every logo from manufacturers that weren't supporting me in some way covered. Jarhead
Yeah, he was playing a Fender I think, but he normally plays (and might be endorsed by) Warwick.

Why does sponsorship need to come into the equation , or am I missing something ?

Sponsorship ties you into a certain brand and all that goes with it (cheesy endorsement ads in bass mags) Its not like most of these guys cannot afford to use whatever gear they want.. I saw the white pickups and thought, I wonder if thats a classic. Sounded so good, it has made me put my fretted neck back on mine and take it to rehearsal tomorrow. Cygnus x-1
It was a black Jazz with no pickguard, you could just see the rout between the bridge pickup and control plate, I wondered about the tape over the make, maybe it was a Squier????
