I just acquired this bass:

It's an Aria Pro II SB Special II, made in Japan. What approx year of manufacture are these basses? Are they regarded as good instruments? It certainly plays well and has a good punchy sound.

BTW, I did put some photos in the Gear Porn thread but I realise my questions would be better answered here.

Hi.

As you mentioned in Gear Porn, I also have one.

I also have the other version with the single coil at the back, which can just be seen on one of these pics.

Very similar in sound to the Laser Heritage.

They are really nice basses. Nice weight and balnce, lots of subtle tonal variations with the switching options
and as one owner said. . . . A hoot to play.

Hope you enjoy playing it.

Cheers, :)

Thanks for that. Any idea how much these basses are worth? Mine's in OK condition, obviously well used but in still in good shape.

Oh about £4.99, ill give you a tenner for it!

I sold my fretless one which had been messed about with a lot, and needed a bit of work for £150. The guy came round with it advertised at £180 or so but man could he play! He was so good it seemed daft to not give it to him for a good price! I think he was going to give it to the guys at overwater to do up for him.
