Hi guys! Does anyone know of a suitable replacement bridge for a yamaha bb414? I have heard folk mention a gotoh, but would a badass II do the job? I just want to coax a bit more bottom out of it.Thanks

A Badass would be perfect - the BB bridges are almost identical to Fender Mex bridges, they have the same screw holes but the baseplate is about 5mm deeper.

Thanks very much.I read somewhere about the Gotoh going on Yams and they are about half the price.Trouble is,no one seems to have one! I think the badass route is probably for me.They seem to be more readily available

I was thinking about this one for my bb414:

hadn't chance to do it though.

I've got a GOTOH like this one on my BB614 and it was a cinch to fit. Took old one off and put new one in its place - holes all lined up. Recommended.

I think with the BadAss you have to file the string slots too which is more hassle.

I am only worried about H string ,on my Yamaha bridge H string sadle is in 35 inch scale, it is longer than other strings,I am just worried that if I put 34 inch bridge it will loose tension on H string.
