mojobass Posted June 29, 2011 Share Posted June 29, 2011 just wondering how best to doi it? i bought a HK jazz bass recently off ebay and whenit arrived theres a couple of what look like permenent marker marks under the clear lacquer coat! it also appears that this was spotted before they sent it as theres dull patches where it looks like theyve tried to remove them but realised it was under the lacquer!! (see my build thread!) They did refund me some of the money and i'm still pretty happy overall with the body but i'd like to get it sorted. I'm happy to have an unlacquerd bosy and just traeted with oil etc to give a bit of a sheen. is it a major job to remove the lacquer?
