casapete
Had an enquiry to do a gig in Frankfurt later on this year. Was just wondering if anyone had used any rental companies they could recommend over there? We'll be needing a PA (say 2k, nothing massive) and some backline / drums / keyboards, and just want to price the job up without driving our kit over there etc - so much easier for us to fly and use rented stuff. Any help / advice gratefully received, cheers!
jakenewmanbass
I do know a guy that has done our sound in Hamburg several times, he travels all over. He's brilliant, but tbh I would expect that whoever is booking you would sort it for you because they are MUCH MUCH more organised than we are about this sort of stuff. I'll ask my band leader for his details if you want... Jake edit. He actually did our sound in Frankfurt once too. RhysP
I have a good friend based in Zurich who does this stuff all over Europe. He does big stuff like the Montreaux Jazz Festival & has also worked with Pink Floyd/David Gilmour as stage manager & drum tech so he really knows his stuff. I can give you his contact details if you're interested.

I should maybe state that the gig is just a corporate do for around 200 people, so won't be needing massive stuff, but if you think your friend would still be interested then please PM me his details. Many thanks for your help, cheers.
