Machines Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 It's a Streamer Standard, Warwick did make these in their Germany factory so it is genuine. Quote
The Burpster Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 is 300 sobs cheap then? or the going rate? Quote
Machines Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 A bit more than a used MIM Fender.. sounds ok to me. Quote
josh3184 Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 i thought all streamers had curved backs? Looks like a rockbass to me... Quote
thedontcarebear Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 That's a normal Warwick, not a rockbass, used to be their cheapest model, well the 1 pickup version was. Quote
bassicinstinct Posted February 28, 2008 Posted February 28, 2008 Yep, definitely a Streamer Standard. I owned one for a couple of years and it was a great bass. I think I paid £300 for mine new in 2000. It was the exact same 2 pickup model as this one. The ONLY issue I ever had with it was the fact that the MEC soapbars were incredibly low output, so if you're considering going for it, I would recommend that you factor into the equation the fact that you'll need to upgrade them. Rodders Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 But the body is Carolena I thought they only used that wood for the Rockbass Streamers? Quote
spree Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 (edited) all the Rockbass Streamers have dirty great chrome input jacks on them, this one doesnt also the control cavity cover on rockbasses is just a screw on jobby, not a pop out warwick type Edited March 1, 2008 by spree Quote
BassBalls Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Yep its a Warwick streamer standard. I have the 5 string equivalent and i agree that the pickups are a bit weak but it does still sound nice. I might swap them out soon. Quote
