You'd get them for about £450-500 using the Best Offer option with most US dealers, and if I had a '71 Jazz and needed original PUPs, I probably would yes.

Exactly, If you paid £1500 for a bass that had parts missing that fetch £500 but would make the bass worth £3000 it's worth it IMO. Also I like things just right.
