foxthebiker
hmmmmm What do you reckon about spector (crafted in Korea) basses and the entry level Performer series. This one in available used locally. He is asking £175 for it. I can see on the WEB new Performer's at £199.00! This one is in amber colour, has a straight neck, just a couple of superficial marks, nothing too big... Anybody tried one? It's seems to play really well. here is a link to one just like it on ebay which is only $175: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...rksid=p3907.m29
thedarxide
I had a performer 4 when they did that crazy holoflash finish. Neck was... odd. It was slimmer than what I was used to, but it wasn't bad. The pickups weren't quite as powerful as I was expecting, but the response was nice and consistent, was a nice recording bass. cetera
Spector make excellent entry level basses... but regardless, does it feel good, play well & sound good to you? If so, that's all you need to make the decision I'd try to bring it down to £150 though if it is used and has some scuffs. Alternatively, if you're willing to save a little more I'd go for a Spector Legend bass, or for a little more again a Spector Re-Bop! Both excellent value for money basses....
