kedo
This is a great opportunity to acquire Ashdown's best cabinets. I bought this rig without thinking and find that, as I am getting on a bit, I can't really transport them on my own. These are less than a year old and represent Ashdown's top of the range Neodymium speakers. They are in new condition and have genuinely only been used outside my house three times and always treated with care. They have padded custom made covers. I think Ashdown recently withdrew the Neos from their range but they are superior to any current Ashdown speakers on offer. The rig comprises a 1x15" (Neo 115h) Classic Klystron with power handling of 400watts and 4x10" (Neo 410h) Classic Klystron with power handling of 1050watts. They are both 8ohm cabinets which obviously give you 4ohms when used together. This increases the power output from the amp. They have 'Speakon'/jack connectors and a horn control which can be set to low/off/high. The cabinets have a combined Union Jack/Stars and Stripes badge and I understand from Ashdown that the cabinets were made in the USA and assembled in UK. The ABM 500 EVO III head is a 575watt amplifier (into 4ohms) with an optional valve pre-amp and solid state power-amp. There is a dedicated 'Klystron' amp but it is exactly the 500 ABMIII in a bigger cabinet (I got this information from the Ashdown Engineer). You can view the ABMIII at: http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.as...on=abm&ID=6 Included is the dedicated Ashdown ABM footswitch which controls various amplifier functions (Octaver, EQ, valve pre-amp and compressor). You can view the footswitch at: http://shop.ashdownmusic.com/product.php?pi=2428 You can view the 115T at: http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=186 and the 410T at: http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=187 I have thought long and hard about this sale because the sound of the rig is immense. I have mostly used it with a Custon Shop Jazz and it is fantastic, but I really can't handle the size and weight any more. I am going 'lightweight' but don't expect to get the fantastic percussive depth and punch of the Ashdown rig, and I will probably pay a lot! The sound of this has been admired and coveted by supporting bands. You can get any sound from deep old fashioned R and B to modern slap, it really shifts air. If you are fit or have roadies, this could be the bass amp for you. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Marky L
A bump is where someone (or yourself) adds a comment to the post to "bump" it back up to the front page of the section in case it's been overlooked. I think it's poor etiquette to do it too often though!!

Marky L
Well maybe have the head for sale as an option too, especially if you are thinking of moving it on at some point. As you know, I'll likely take the 4x10 off your hands if you get a sale for the 1x15 separately
