Captive Nuts

Are there different sizes of captive nut available for rack mounting? I've just bought another (used) flightcase and my normal captive nuts won't quite fit. The nut part appears to be too fat, meaning that the "ears" of it won't go far enough in to the rack strip to secure themselves properly. Also, beacause they're still "sprung" inwards the bolt won't fit through the hole either.

Yes there are.
Gator and SKB use a slightly different size from standard pro.
Just whip out one of the springs and get thee to Been&Queued.
