Fender P 'Musicman'?

I was doing sound for a band last night and the bassist brought in a Fender Precision that had only one pickup and it was in the bridge position and looked somewhat like a musicman pickup, albeit with covered poles rather than open like an EB.

It was black with a matching black headstock like an Aerodyne.

Can anyone point me to the model or have any comments?

I quite like the musicman sound, but not the look really!
