Happy Jack
Looks like I'll be away again this year - almost always off end of Sept into early Oct
That's alright Barrie. After all, how many bassists would really have any interest in seeing a Fodera Victor Wooten Yin Yang & '86 Monarch, NG Monarch Replica, Celinder J Update & Vintage J, Godin Semi, Fender '78 & '10 J's & '63 & '72 P's, Zon Sonus FL, Sadowsky NYC4? For myself I know I can't drive there, can always come by train but will limit how much gear I bring, and I know others are in a similar situation? Owen
I quite fancy this but am wondering about doing it by train. How far is the station? What is the nearest mainline station? The route suggested to me by train line.com is into Euston and then out again. I figure it would be easier to hit a bigger place the night before and truck across by train from there on the morning. It would be a 6/7 hour haul by car with the Friday night traffic and it would be lovely to avoid that. TIA

Either way it was easy enough to get a cab and it didn't take long.

If anyone is coming by train, I could perhaps pick up from those stations, although if anyone coming could arrange to meet any others getting there by train at Addlestone/Chertsey on the same arrivals it would mean less ferrying around. dc2009
Bugger it, booked my flights for my trip to Finland last night and have now just realised I'm gonna miss this by a day, which is fairly gutting. I think in lieu of this I'm going to instigate a London Bass pint night perhaps for sometime soon, let me know if anyone would be interested in a general social gathering in some central London pub! I'll get a few quotes and post up the cab co. numbers for you when I get a chance.
To be honest it was around £7 I think from the station - sorry I live in London and have a slightly warped sense of how much stuff costs - I'm used to being ripped off - I've been to Norway 4 times and that's even worse i.e. a pint = £9 - it's silly I know - but considering I don't drive but do own a car (ironically) with my misses I am fully aware of just how expensive driving is now - so a tenner here and there on cabs seems relatively good value somehow! If anyone is driving from London and can offer me a lift I'll gladly pay petrol money - I'll be able to bring an extra bass if I can get a lift too - I'm based in Brixton but am happy to meet in central London or near Victoria or similar if that's easier.... let me know Thanks Mike

AndyW
Cool, was just thinking about getting in touch with the UK Bass crew since just moving to London (after 11 years in the Netherlands)! Will see if I can pop across (job dependant) and can bring one of my Adamovic Basses plus my pedalboard (Aguilar Agro, Eventide Pitchfactor, TC Polytune and Flashback) if that interests anyone? Will have to go by train so won't be able to bring the Aguilar Rig unfortunately (AG500, DB410 and SL410). Will keep you posted! Hey URB, just saw you are living right nearby (I'm 5 minutes from Clapham North), have enjoyed watching your instructional clips when I was in Holland so must meet up for a beer/chat sometime!
