waynepunkdude Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I got my new cab this afternoon (GK Neo 412) and as my SVT is being serviced I proceeded to use my Bass Terror through it, I was happily noodling away when my mrs came in and said it's too loud and she can hear it at the other end of the house so I went to turn it down when I found this: How can I turn it down anymore? Wooks79 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Haha, they are bloody loud Gotta ask again, why do they use a sticker for the orange picture logo? Cheapskates! Quote

3below Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 In order of cost effectiveness

Unplug instrument cable
Place cabinet speaker side down to floor
Send Mrs out shopping
Buy larger house
Divorce
Quote
dannybuoy Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Gramma Pad under the cab, or if you're using an 8 ohm cab, flick the switch to 4 ohms to reduce it's power output! Quote
xgsjx Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 Try rolling the Treble, Mid & Bass down on the head if you can't turn the volume down on your bass. Quote

chrismuzz Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 If the active/passive switch is set to passive, put it to active which will reduce the gain a bit. Quote
paul_5 Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 all of the above suggestions would work, or yot could retube with 12AU7 or 5751 tubes, that way yot could still drive then a bit, but have a reduced output. As an aside how do these amps sound? I've currently got an svp pre into an svp power amp and an looking to keep that kind of slightly wooly tone but with some mid definition. My back's starting to feel the strain these days... Quote

They sound incredible mate, the EQ does nothing but the soundf you get is a nice warm overdriven tone. Quote

Prime_BASS Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 You are using a 4x12. It's going to be loud. Quote
