Wil Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 (edited) Edited 04-01-12, see last post. Good condition (besides a mark in the finish pictured below), all black with matching headstock and rosewood board. Currently strung and set up for BEAD. £350ono, collected from Bristol. Pics: As you can see, there is a small mark in the finish by the nut (which is filed slightly to accommodate the B string - I slipped!) and the string alignment from the factory is a bit biased towards the treble side. As it didn't affect the playability or sound I left it as it was. Edited January 8, 2012 by Wil
johnDeereJack Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Nice bass. Very interested I currently have a Trace rig for sale in the Amps & Cabs section so depending on how that goes I may be in a position to take this off your hands. Would have to include delivery though as I'm in Edinburgh. Cheers, Ian
bassline Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I have one of these Basses and I'm really happy with it, there are so many different sounds you can get from it, Anyone who is thinking about buying it I deffo would.
Paul S Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 How much do these/does this weigh? I read they are basswood, so perhaps not too heavy. Mainly curious but it IS a very nice looking thing, and with the skinnier neck profile, too.
Wil Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) It's fairly light, but no idea how much it weighs (no scales at home). I'd hazard a guess at around 9lb? If it had a P pup at the neck I'd probably keep it, it's lovely to wear/play. I just don't think the musicman tone suits my current band. Edited January 4, 2012 by Wil

dave_bass5 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Do you know if the slightly wider E string slot in the nut will have any effect on, say a .105 string? Im tempted but not sure about that nut slot.

Thats me out then. While im sure it "might" be ok its not something ill take a gamble on at this stage.
Wil Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) It may or may not do, I didn't do much filing of the nut to get the B in there, but I did do some filing. Who needs a G string anyway, I say Edited August 4, 2011 by Wil
Wil Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Bump - pricedrop to £350. Edited August 9, 2011 by Wil
garymilitia Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 How would the string alignment be fixed? Just out of interest. I have a P Bass up for sale at the moment and if that sell's I will be very interested in this.
Wil Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 You could shift the bridge slightly to compensate - seemed like more hassle than it was worth to me though, I found when I was playing it I quickly forgot the aligment was out.
garymilitia Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Do you fancy a trade for a mex p bass? If not i'll have to wait for the ebay auction to end before I can offer anything.
Wil Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 I'm afraid I'm just looking for a sale at the moment.
Wil Posted August 10, 2011 Author Posted August 10, 2011 Withdrawn (for now at least) - I've not had any real bites and my VT bass just arrived. I had to try the Sterling through it and... well, it sounds awesome
