Chilliwack Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Just wondering what brand of vocal mic stands you would recommend. I have gone through two in the past year - one was made by Stagg and the other by Giraffe. I wasn't impressed with either of them, they both used cheap plastic bits that just didn't stand up. Any advice on what, or more importantly, what not to buy would be much appreciated. Quote
jakenewmanbass Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 (edited) Beyer, better than anything else I've used, but I haven't used them all so there might be better. Edited March 2, 2008 by jakesbass Quote
BassBod Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Generally, K&M from Germany - best I've found for all types of stands. Look at Studiospares or Thomann, as prices can vary a bit. BB Quote

martinbass7750 Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 Have a look at hercules - I've got one of their guitar stands and it's very well made. http://www.herculesstands.com/mics/micstands.html Quote
Bilbo Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 +1 for Hercules - I only buy them now as a matter of preference - they put up and break down easily, stay up without collapsing and don't break your fingers when you adjust them. Quote
