I certainly wouldnt state it correct without firsthand knowlege. But i do recall a forum member saying

My Vintage looks great still, the Roqsolid cover has done a great job. The cover is showing signs of wear mind you, but that's what it's for!!

Yes I can see the wood could chip easily, so think this could do with a cover if I keep it.
It will only be me carrying it and I tend to be very careful with gear but you never know.

Mine tends to get moved about by our crew and they have a rep for breaking EVERYTHING. The Vintage has survived fine tho
