Kev59
Hi all Just found the site so thought I'd say hello. Been playing guitar (Gretsch and Strat', some acoustic) for a few years and after a few years of wanting one, got myself a "well used" upright bass - make unknown (cheap) which I've had some fun re-learning musical theory on (or not). Favourite bass players have all played upright - Bill Black, Marshal Grant, Jack Neal. Guess you can work it out that I'm into rockabilly, trad country and rock n roll. Would like to find a good teacher in the Gatwick area(ish) who can guide me through the basics and stop me going off track. I learned that when I picked up the guitar for the first time and thought I could learn without a teacher. Took 2 years to unlearn all the mistakes! Cheers, Kev
