smillers6
Hi Guys. Steve Miller here from Chicago. I often pop over to Paul Rose's Prosebass website to look at what's being made, but lately haven't been able to connect with his site. Any knowledge if Paul's still in business? His short-scale headless basses are one-of-a-kind. I was hoping to pick one up sometime. Thanks for any input you can share.

Yes folks, the time has come to put Prosebass to bed. 'oh dear' some shouted, 'about time' sayeth others.... I have gone back to full time work and am now in the employ of a major UK PLC. This will give me the time and funds to have a rethink and work on some ideas that I have for mass production basses rather than the custom builds. I would like to express a big thanks to all who have put their faith in me and allowed me to build them a bass , those who have helped and given advice. Thanks again...Paul
Happy Jack
That's a damned shame. I had the pleasure of owning three of Paul's creations, all of them unusual, all of them very nicely done. I hope he gets back into luthiery again at some point.
Geddys nose
Never owned any of his basses but I saw a few while he did a bit of excellent work on my bass he's a top chap and lives just around the corner from me which is so so convenient.
