Grand Wazoo
The title says - Markbass f1 issue, but then the body of the post says: Hi I'm looking for a Fender deluxe 5 strings, am I missing something? What is the issue with the Markbass F1 and how does it relate to... looking for a Fender deluxe 5 strings? chrismuzz
I've never managed to achieve distortion just going through the amp, even with the gain on max! Either the output on your bass is ridiculously high, you need to change the battery in your bass, or something in your chain is a bit dodge How long have you had this setup? And has it always had this problem? Edited July 15, 2011 by chrismuzz
dave_bass5
I assume the blue LED isn't flashing on the input stage. I find mine is quite a bit more sensitive compared to my old MB heads.
chrismuzz
It could be the battery is running a little low, I'd try that first. Other than that I'd look at turning the bass's volume down, or turning the Gain down a bit. If they're already fairly low it might be worth puttig another bass through it to see if it might be a problem with the amp. It's unlikely but it could be the case
dave_bass5
Is it possible to take a signal from the line out in to something else? At least would help eliminate the bass and preamp stage if you get a clean signal. Edited July 16, 2011 by dave_bass5
