ingenius
Been waiting for months for this day. This is also a thread in Build diaries " from ugly duckling to bang tidy" for full information "Fender precision 50th anniversary"... my 50th anniversary of being born. but basically a 2008/9 MIA. New custom neck, Lindy fralin pickups and colour change. Sounds monsterous too. Thanks to the very talented David Wilson of DW guitars in Haltwhistle Northumberland regards Keith [attachment=84758:027.JPG]

fragglefart
Lovely, are my eyes deceiving me or is that a tinted metal pickguard? Is that CAR finish? Not some folks' cuppa but one of my faves, dude.

thebrig
Very nice indeed! I've just completed a P and a J myself, so I know how satisfying a self-build is. Well done.
ingenius
cherrs guys, yes its Candy apple red with an anodised gold pickguard. The whole job was undertaken by David Wilson of DW guitars. It has a custom neck made by DW and Lindy fralin pups. The respray is awesome and it plays sweet. So not really a self build, but a great experience for me to get to choose everything. regards Keith
