stezzastez
Hello, I'm looking to restring my fairly new Ibanez SR600, however i'm going to buy a 6 string set for the C string to make my other bass a tenor. Of these strings, which would you guys recommend to me? Also, is Nickel round wound the best category for me to choose from? xgsjx
It purely depends on what kind of sound you're after. If you want bright & zingy, then rounds are the way to go. After spending years of using rounds I took the plunge on a set of TI Jazz flatwounds & wish I would have done decades ago. My bass sounds more like I want it to & apparently flats last for years. stezzastez
I like the bright sound so I think rounds are the way to go for me. However, of the 6 string sets on that page I don't know which to go for. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to strings, and I don't know what the short scale, long scale stuff means. I just want some strings that will fit my SR600, and have a C string spare for my other bass
xgsjx
I think Long scale is what you would need for your Ibby. Is it a 34" scale?
stezzastez
Yeah that's the one. Long scale it is then?
