This is my Columbus JB from whenever ( late 70's early 80's ??? )

Looks like a dogs supper, i grant you. But behold, this thing plays like a stradivarius of the bass world.

Frets were levelled, and stoned, action lowered ( quite low - how i like it ) plus the hefty and expensive ABM 3 way adjustable roller bridge fitted. All work and set up by Bob at RPTech

Elephants Ears tuners changed to black to match bridge, as were the strap buttons and string tree.

Original pickups too, ( about 7kohm each IIRC ) but Andy at Wizard re-wound one of them, but on the original casing.

Coverswere changed to cream ( like old Dimarzios ) to go nicely with the new Tortoise shell scratch plate.
Cheapo knobs changed to a nice set of knurled chrome dome tops.
Fabulous fretboard action, though you wouldnt think so just to look at it.
This thing probably owes me in excess of £300, but i didnt do it to make a profit.

Price £195 - but needs to be collected ( no packing no case ) or could meet somewhere for petrol. I can drive
for about 45 miles radius from West Oxfordshire, which makes 90 miles round trip and around £20 fuel for me.
I would need payment before i left, just to nip any timewasting in the bud.

I'm glad this sold. Is it too early to post honest opinions (you know the ones we're not allowed to express while a bass is currently for sale) of this bass yet? :)
