I got a pair of used p/ups (couldn't find a single) when fitting it, noticed the fault was due to the earth (outer core of the white cable) was soldered in with the inner core. I had the new pick up in when I realised what had happened. Soldered it in correctly and it works fine. So the bass is now in full working order Tony
