fretmeister Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) These are Ben's pics - hope he doesn't mind. film on scratch plate has been taken off, but other than that - all is the same. Wonderful thing, but I have discovered something that I really really need, so almost everything is potentially for sale!! 18 Volt circuit, 4 band EQ (Low, low-mid, high-mid, Treble), vol, pan. Very low action indeed, with a neck profile that makes it easier to play than any 5 string I've owned. There are not many of these around, they retail at £2150.00 and are about £1800 street price. This bass is genuinely as new. Absolutely perfect condition, has the proper "BONGO 6" hardcase with all the case candy. [s]£1250.00[/s] ono + delivery / collection from Northants. [s]Now £1150.00 + delivery.[/s] Now at £1100.00 Delivered in the UK No trades unless you have an NS Design OmniBass 4 string. ta Paul. Alemboid Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Those pics look... oh wait. Noooo. You're making me want it back. B.

Not a sign of a used one, so it will have to be new.
fretmeister Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 Bump. I've been exchanging emails with the Bass Gallery in Camden who reckon £1500 in the shop would be about right, so after his 15% commission the price appears to be bang on. So - £1150.00 to BC'ers then! ta Paul.
Golchen Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I gotta say that the bongo looks soooo cool as a 6. I just don't know what I'd do with that extra string though????
fretmeister Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 Bizarrely, I can't get on with 5 strings at all, but this was a lot easier. The neck shape is perfect, and I have pretty small hands. I've had Status, Stingrays, Warwicks Washburn etc etc 5 strings and this is easier than all of them. You are welcome to visit to try it out. I make a mean bacon sarnie!
mattbass6 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 You're making me want it back as well. This was initially mine and I sold it to Ben. Such a pity that it's not settling in for anyone, including me. A beautiful bass and good luck with the sale. I hope it finds a permanent home soon and doesn't appear here again or I might just have to have it back
fretmeister Posted July 19, 2011 Author Posted July 19, 2011 The funds will be going somewhere needed: http://thinkns.com/instruments/omnibass.php (The proper fretless one of course!)
AttitudeCastle Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 EPIC WANT. Bump for an awesome bass (even though it's right at the top ) Wouldn't be able to afford this for months even at this 2nd hand price (great deal and great condition!) even if i got a job and worked for a year probably
fretmeister Posted July 20, 2011 Author Posted July 20, 2011 Anybody? Make me an offer by all means - otherwise I'll have to get it down to the Gallery to sell on commission. ta Paul
dc2009 Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 o.O, wow that is beautiful, in a weird, twisted alien kinda way gorgeous bass, wish i had the dough for it
fretmeister Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 BUMP!! Last bump before I decide which shop it's going in for a commission sale.
Platypus Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Thats a very good price for what is a great 6 string. I played a Bongo 6 at the London Music Show a few years ago and it was very impressive
ziggydolphinboy Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 just heard John Myung play these at high voltage festival ,,, absolutely amazing sound. bump for a nice bongo!

dc2009 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 If I had the cash, this would be the first bass I would buy on here, but alas, I don't
proy900 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 (edited) oh... ohh.... ..... oh no, i've made a mess in my pants. That is beautiful! Having previously owned Musicman basses they are by way and far the best machines for comfort. Played a bongo 6 at an event earlier this year and i understand what you mean when it feels better than a 5 especially in the nose bleed frets! Best of luck with selling a bass i would have to riot just to have any chance of ever affording one. BIBBIDY-BUMP-BUMP-DE-BEURGH <-Brian Badonde sponsored bump!!! Edited August 11, 2011 by proy900
