robocorpse Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I have just snapped one of those bloody string retainer claws on my XM2 bridge. I know there were steel repros being made recently, but they seem to have dropped off the map, maybe Gibson being a*seholes about their copyright? Does anyone have a claw they could let me have, or a trashed 80's Steinberger bridge to cannibalise? Quote

RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 If you are unsuccessful in your search , Graham Noden in denark street could make one up for you Quote
robocorpse Posted August 18, 2011 Author Posted August 18, 2011 Nice one, thanks for those leads. Quote
robocorpse Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 (edited) Still looking... The USA ones are in stock, but $125 seems steep for a set. If I go for just the one, there will be a mismatch. Someone on here must have a trashed bridge in their parts bin? Edited January 23, 2012 by robocorpse Quote
rmorris Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Don't know if this helps but a few years ago the thread stripped on one of the screw / claws on my Hohner B2A Steinberger Licensed Bridge leaving me a bit stuck. Eventually got one from the Bass Centre workshop for £10. Guess that not an option now but maybe a call to Bass Gallery or similar ? Quote
TheGreek Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) I have a headless bridge from a cheap German headless bass which is in bits - not a licensed copy so I'm not sure if it will work - does it look close enough?? robocorpse Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 Hi. Thanks for the offer but I don't believe the claws from this will fit the Steinberger bridges, although if I remember correctly they will fit the Hohner ones. Quote
