Check out his files on Youtube. I wish (1) I had his talent, and (2) his collection of classic basses!

yeah not bad, nothing that makes me go 'ooooooh!' apart from how solid he is but some interesting bits from some choice songs played very well. Interesting beard growth throughout! And as well as clearly having far too many basses, he must also have far too much spare time on his hands! how many videos has he got up there!!! yoinks!

Been watching him for a while now. Comes accross as a nice guy with a great feel for a groove. Over 200 vids to choose from although I prefer his technique vids rather than the playalongs. Its nice to see someone giving free advice on playing for the benefit of Bass players of all levels.

ya, i've come accross mr.DK's vids - he's awesome. great sound recordings and great sounding basses. his 77 stingray is the Schnizzle!
yeah not bad, nothing that makes me go 'ooooooh!'
really???!!! i rekon he's the nuts - tasteful, skillful, stylish And generous for posting up lessons for (as Zapp mentioned) players of all levels. think you're right about the spare time though - that pad looks like a batchelor's apartment!

Lovely solid tasteful playing, and great tone

Nice example Thunderthumbs. Just goes to show that good technique, great feel and catchy bassline really can move your feet and put a smile on your face. (Well mine anyway).

He's just rock solid, isn't he?

What I also like is that a lot of what he does is almost obtainable - with a load of hard work and dedication, I may be able to get close. I find a lot of the the really flash stuff a major turn off (I once watched a Bill Dickens vid for example - super fast slapping, but just did nothing for me - it just seemed to be showing off how fast and difficult a line he could slap, with no real other purpose or soul - to me anyway), whereas this guy makes me want to plug in, turn on and get practicing ! Truly inspirational.

Plus - no other youtube vid has made me want to play along to Dolly Parton! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGT-jtWAYBY
Great fills between 1:30 and 2:00.
