ROConnell Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Hi all, Replacing my tuners on my Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass 2011. I have Hipshots in mind, however I have no clue at all what would fit. I know there's other brands but Hipshots are quite cheap and have been recommended. Anyone know if their tuners can be directly fitted on? If Hipshot don't do any, does anybody know of any other direct replacements? Cheers. Quote

They do direct Fender replacements, in fact they make the current USA Standard Fender tuners. [/quote] They're quite expensive! Superb quality. Get them from the States off ebay. You will save much money. I get all my Hipshot stuff that way. I just looked though and chrome are not available as a set. Quote

I tend to put d-tuners in most of my basses, and buying on eBay from the US works out at around used price her... but I get them new and I don't have to wait until the exact one I want comes up. [/quote] Yep, ordered mine direct from these guys as they're not on eBay anymore. I got a 5 string set posted to my door for £60 all in. No customs etc but maybe I got lucky.
