wateroftyne
Hi all! I've just been sent a rough unmixed soundboard feed from a festival I did last summer with my 'other' band. I think they show off the Wizard Thumper pickup pretty well, so I thought I'd post 'em for future reference. Basically... LaBella Flats > '73 maple Precision > Wizard Thumper > EBS Microbass II The signal is a combination of post-eq DI from the Microbass and a mic on my Schroeder 21012L (I'm not sure what the ratio of the two is). WARNING - Vaguely folky / Northern content Tune #1 Tune #2 ...and here's some pics from the day. GreeneKing
Nice solid P bass tone there. Thanks for the warning, wasn't too bad, no Lampton Worm!

LukeFRC
unfortunately iMac speakers dont like bass frequencies so i was disappointed to only hear the folkiness not the bass-ness!
99ster
Mmmmm... Bloody Lovely tone! That's a PROPER bass sound! (I can run it through my ProTools rig & appreciate the splendid bass goodness on some rather lovely SONY MDR-7509HD headphones...)
wateroftyne
Cheers, folks! It's not bad for a fairly raw feed. Lambton Worm?? Good Lord... that's from the wrong side of the river...!
GreeneKing
I'm assuming from my brief sojourn in Gatesheed many moons ago that's South then
OldGit
Great sound ..hummm GAS for flats is growing Actually the whole thing sounds great. Top flight Turbo Folk! That sounds like a really good drummer to play with
Count Bassy
Would that drummer be the Ray Laidlaw of Lindisfarne fame? Talking of which, nice to see several of their tunes in the set list. One of my favorite bands of the time. Clive
wateroftyne
Hi folks! The very same Mr. Laidlaw.. he's one of my all-time favourite drummers, and a bass-player's dream...! I'll post a link to a performance of one of the 'classics' later... but don't tell anyone... :-)
