Moving on from my Warwick corvette, I am building slowly a new bass. The body will be either Ash and Maple, Cherry and Maple or Ash and Walnut.
I am after a pair of pickups to give a clean sound, not too harsh, not too warm. Any config can be used as I have yet to route the holes.
Over to you. Opinions please

What style of music do you want to play with it?

Ok, P pup for the neck... and maybe a fruity little J for the bridge.

My personal current favourite is G&L MFD 'bucker in the P position as it gives you the P sound (in buckets) but single, series, parallel and a few more options besides.
