Count Bassy
I know that some people on here slag off Bill Wyman as a bass player, but I saw him and the Rhythm kings at the Bury St Edmunds AbbeyFest last night and it was a cracking show, and that includes Mr Wyman himself. Not flash, possibly not even adventurous, but (IMHO) exactly what the music needed, which is what makes a good bassist (IMHO again).

Like all successful people, the Stones were ruthless when they needed to be. E.g.dumping Brian Jones. Had Wyman not been able to cut the mustard he would have been out. (after they'd nicked his amp) Can you imagine a drummer the calibre of Charlie Watts putting up with a duff bass player?
stevie
Most times, 'not flash' is what the music needs. I like the Rhythm Kings - a bunch of great musicians.
flyfisher
Saw them quite a few years ago in St Albans Arena and thoroughly enjoyed it - a bunch of great musicians at the top of their game, clearly enjoying themselves and with nothing to prove. Blademan_98
I'm glad you said that I have tickets for November 13th to see him at Aylesbury theatre. My daughter bought them for me as a present
Cat Burrito
I have a ticket for his Basingstoke show and can't wait. I really tire of the negative comments on here sometimes around Wyman. Len derby makes a valid point. I don't get why he's not given more respect (Bill, not Len!)

leschirons
Saw them a few years back in Brentwood. Had Georgie Fame and Martin Taylor on board. A great band.
