jsixties Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 (edited) As many of you are guitar players too this could be of your interest: I have at home a mint condition (only a few hours of careful home testing) Made in USA 2010 Matchless Chieftain 212 Combo CH-212 Reverb in Crimson Red finish. European 240v model with unfilled Matchless lifetime warranty. This is by far the most awesome handmade point to point "Class A" boutique guitar amp in the market but I know positively now it was an irrational and impulsive purchase, a very expensive whim so loud (and quite weighty) that surpass my requirements just for playing at home. I would like to sell it to get a lighter and cheaper Fender Deluxe Reverb or a british Vox AC15 so offers that way would be welcome. Please in the chance you want to place on the table a trade don't send me another proposal so I'm not interested. Matchless amplifiers are self-biasing so no adjustments are necessary when replacing tubes. I will include a couple of fresh new sets of high-end matched tubes of €400 value (£350) for the new owner even the original ones are as new. Also is included a pro Thon flightcase with wheels without use: http://www.thomann.de/gb/thon_haubencase_f...mbos_rollen.htm And a red vintage style Silverstone amp cover with white piping: http://www.ampcovers...ils.asp?id=2295 This is an amp of $3285.00 in the States + shipping + VAT + Customs fees when in Europe if you want to order it there. This one was purchased in an european authorized dealer. I paid €4050 (£3550) for all these items including the backup tubes. With a straight sale all the items (amp, flightcase, cover and the two high-end tube sets) are yours for only £2195 non negotiable. Don't want the flightcase and the cover? Deduct £250 =£1945 for the amp + the two sets of brand new high-end tubes. You can only purchase for this money a new Asian-made handwired Vox that is a good amp, but a toy compared with this Matchless. Isn't a BARGAIN? Now it's up to you. Due the weight and volume I will not ship it. Collection in Madrid or you can arrange your own shipping if you like. Now it's your chance to own an amp that will blow your mind! jsixties Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 If you have listened and enjoyed a Matchless amp imagine how it sounds this beast, this is the top of the line and more expensive amp in their whole catalogue.
scalpy Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 Can't afford this but whoever buys it walks away with one of the best amps ever built. Gorgeous amp.
jsixties Posted August 6, 2011 Author Posted August 6, 2011 Thank you Scalpy, you are absolutely right with the tremendous quality of this amp.
molan Posted August 6, 2011 Posted August 6, 2011 I've seen the Hellecasters a couple of times and I seem to remember they all played Matchless - amazing clean sound!
jsixties Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Thank you guys, I really think this is the better amp in production today but as stated it needs to be played for a touring musician. It doesn't make any sense a tube 40 watts of this price just for playing in my bedroom once a month at most.
jsixties Posted September 30, 2011 Author Posted September 30, 2011 A lot of interest but still here! Please pass this link to the guitar players in your bands, I truly think this is a once in a lifetime chance.
jsixties Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Any guitar player out there in the quest for the ultimate amp?
jsixties Posted October 8, 2011 Author Posted October 8, 2011 Almost on hold in my country so it's now or never guys!
