Soloshchenko
Hi, I'm doing a cheap bitsa project and coming to final stages of finishing. It's a kind of trans black stain. I'd intended to use a tortoise shell pickguard on it but now I'm leaning towards aged white. What do you reckon? It's a decent slab of wood and was pleased with the grain when I took the finish off. It used to look like this: Not bad for £6.50 anyway. Bigwan
Aged white methinks. Tort would work too, but since it's not a solid colour not every shade of tort would look right to me...

Do you mean like these: Wooden Pickguards That would actually look awesome! Especially on a bass which is going to be assembled for around £30!
