geoffbyrne
I recently picked up a Yammy G5A off Ebay for a fairly paltry sum & although there's a couple of things needing done, I'm very pleased with it. However, the pickups which are termed the generic 'soapbar' turn out (after some tapping with a magnetic screwdriver) to be P-type splits in a soapbar shell - both of them, just like the 5-pole P on my Yammy BB415, except the longer element seems to be nearer the bridge: A while ago I had a Yammy RBX375 which had 2-spool humbuckers: and I liked the tone of that very much. Now the route for the BB G5A pickup (including lugs) seems to be 120 x 38mm Could someone who has an RBX375 (or one with the same pups) please measure the route for those pups? If they are pretty much the same, I'd be looking for a pair of the humbuckers, or swap the P-Types for those if anyone's interested. G.
