Tolex shrinking stuff, like for cleaning car interiors

I need to strategically shrink some areas of tolex (yes that's right, sloppy glue spreading), I seem to recall that there is some car interior cleaning compound that achieves this? If anyone can point me in the right direction I will be eternally grateful :)
