chardbass
Can anyone recommend a hard case manufacturer for a 35" bass? (Lakland 55-94) I've been through so many gig bags I'm thinking it might be time for a change or at least to have the option.
ThomBassmonkey
The scale is measured from the nut to the bridge, not from end to end so a 36” headless bass might be shorter than a 34" headed bass. With the lakland being a fairly normal shape, I'd expect a normal Fender hard case would fit fine.
Lorne
Or get Adrenaline cases to build you a flight case
MB1
MB1. Warwick do large cases (got one for a Warwick Buzzard JE signature once) Monster! Monster! Monster!
BassBod
Protec Contego - should fit (look it up first) and fairly cheap (from Thomman)
Gwilym
The protec cases are good, but I wouldn't put them in the hold of a plane. The skb44 case I would recommend, if you want a proper hard case. I've used them a couple of times on flights with no problems, and they (and the protec) both fit 35" scales, and 1 of the basses has a fairly large/long headstock too.
