dansela23
Hello, I've recently bought the Realist pickup for bass. I've tried it at home with my amp, and it works perfectly, though, every gig that I tried playing with it, and connect it to the sound system exsisted in the venue, it gave small , and sometime fading signal, cracking and distorted sound - completly unreliable. Did I buy a bad one, or is there something I dont know that needs to be done? Edited July 29, 2011 by dansela23

Taken from the Eminence bass site "If you find yourself with no output from the pickup, most likely the top of the bridge is tipping forward and the feet are not flat on the bass belly. In that case, push the TOP of the bridge back towards the tailplate so that the feet sit squarely on the bass belly."
BassBod
I've also been having issues with one recently - the newer wooden type (rather than copper). When placed under the bridge foot it seems to make the bridge tip forward and lift the feet off the top, as mentioned on the Eminence quote above. Take it away, and the bridges (I've tried two now) seem happy to sit still and stay in full contact with the top. My best guess is the wooden case is a bit thicker/less forgiving than the copper version? Any ideas welcome!
