Shockwave Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Hey guys. Up for sale is an Ibanez ATK 405. I bought this originally to do up, but since moving to Swindon I really dont have the time to sort it out. Good: Playability is absoloutely fine. Truss rod is 100% OK. Hardware is in good condition. Electronics are perfect. The fingerboard has a nicely figured bit of maple. Bad: A dig into the front of the body as pictured below, the frets need a clean, a bit of wetn'dry will get it out. The screws are serviceable but may need replacing in the future. The set of strings I do have for it are fairly worn (Will send on request) Fair few scratches on the body. Kongo Posted July 30, 2011 Posted July 30, 2011 Ah, quality bass this. The older 24 fret model with an added Jazz pick up. 2 Octaves and more than enough tonal versatility...It's a swiss army bass of the 5 strings! @ £200 this be a steal folks. :-)
kurcatovium Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 If only it didn't have such a narrow string spacing... It's around 16,5mm isn't it?

elephantstone Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I have the 4 string version of this in the same colour, absolute quality basses
MarshallBTB Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 I love this bass, my main bass at the mo...can get so many sounds from it. If I had the cash I'd snap this up for a back up
Shockwave Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 Now reduced to a limited time only! £160!
Shockwave Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 In response to overwhelming interest. I will not ship overseas and I am reluctant to post anyway, though I will if I have to.
waynepunkdude Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 £160 is a stupid price, this should be gone.
NJE Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Dear lord you know times are bad when a quality bass like this is still for sale at £160. Used to have a 4 string version of this, and it was absolutely fantastic, MusicMan -esque tone on a budget but with build quality that was anything but budget. Hope it sells soon.
Truckstop Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I would drive to Swindon tonight to take this off his hands! But having just bought a Gherson and sent my Jazz off to be resprayed I simply can't afford it right now! Gah! Truckstop
Kongo Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I saw the price drop and thought WTF!? This is one HELL of a bass for that money! Djesus, it's at starter bass price and if this was someone's starter bass...It'd be like giving them Excalibur!
Shockwave Posted August 3, 2011 Author Posted August 3, 2011 Last bump. I have cleaned up the frets and they are looking much nicer! Got some offers on the table but would much rather it be picked up! Rob.

I assume people read the advert and take note of the "FIRM" price. As to haggling. Heres some of my views on the subject.
