The ridiculous Strat guy also has a [url="http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/fender-stratocaster-hendrix-zappa-relic-replica-strat-/120753935593?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item1c1d7ed4e9"]"Hendrix replica" [/url]- surely it's a good idea to look at the guitars that your target replicee [1] plays, in which case he'd have seen that the way to replicate a Hendrix guitar for a right-hander is to a ) take a left-handed Strat and turn it upside down and b ) that's it. Also, in every picture of Hendrix playing that I've seen, his Strat is in immaculate condition. This "replica" isn't even a slightly convincing copy of the post-immolation Strat, which looks like this:

This "relic" stuff is utter nonsense to me. You just can't beat a bass/guitar that has natural wear and tear. IF you must down that road (because you can't get or afford the real thing), at least buy something that really does look the part because most of them don't look "right" to me. This guy is the best at what he does nothing else comes close IMO not even Fender custom shop stuff etc.......

Which reminds me, I once saw a Jap 57 strat in sunburst in a shop, the owner had taken a sander to it and removed the paint from the forearm area only....it was the worst bit of relicing i've ever seen! and he wanted £700 for it! what a joke...

Brilliant. What about the photo that says," just a view of what it looks like on the guitar". I nearly chocked. Bloody awful thats what it looks like. I hope he doesn't get his bloody hands on that body.
