TRBboy Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Just wondered if anyone had any srecommmendations for Instrument insurance? It would be to cover my gear when out gigging and in transit to/from. Thanks. Quote
Dubs Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 Used to get mine with Endsleigh when I was a student - pretty comprehensive insurance up to about £5k worth of stuff for about £40 a year IIRC. Amazingly, mines now covered on our contents insurance - specifically listed and didn't cost much extra - think we're with More Than, have to check. Quote

Evil Undead Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 I've got mine with Endsleigh. But I doubt I will renew it. Basically, it doesn't cover ANYTHING. Quote
uncle psychosis Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 My guitars are insured through Allianz musical. If insuring through your contents insurance read the small print VERY carefully. Quote
chaypup Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 (edited) Musicguard Insurance covers your gear in the house, at gigs, in a vehicle and also includes £5m of public liability - very useful! The only downside is that when you add new items/remove them it costs £7 quid a time which can add up to a lot if you're selling/buying gear as much as most basschat members..... Blademan_98 Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011
Musicians Union give full cover if a member
Are there any pre conditions to joining the Musicians Union? Serious question as the acting union (Equity) require you to have two contracts before you can join. I gig on the pub scene but wouldn't say I'm a pro! Quote
