wotnwhy
i've been joking with the guitarist in my band about getting one of those mini marshal stacks (two cabs with 10" speakers and a head taken from a 15w combo), getting the drummer a half size kit, and then getting short-scale guitars and basses, so all the band would look massive! then start a band called 'giants of funk' lol looks like this would have to be the bass amp! now if only we had loads of cash to blow on making a joke band... ped
Yeah these look really fun. I wouldn't mind one actually - I know there are more sensible small amplifiers out there but it would be great for creating a mini band like you say...

MythSte
Its a shame, Because it looks absaloutly cracking, and would do great for small gigs, but there are much better small combos out there for upwards of £
MythSte
Actually, now i think about it. I cant think of anything good that cheap. Well done ampeg

andy67
£600 is far too much for this! it should have been pitched at the sub £300 market probably £249 making a killing! I really wanted one of these but now I really cant afford it!
The Funk
If it had been a valve head, this would have been fantastic.
Buzz
The 2x10 cab on it's own looks interesting though.

Grab a USA head/cab while they're still in the shops if you want one.

And no doubt twice the price! Im hoping Sound Control decide to stock these and then the price should come down somewhat! After all its still only a 150w amp, dont think it could be used for gigging!....could be wrong!. The Funk
Yes go get a USA one now, it's made with electronic parts from Malaysia, China and Vietnam.
Classic. I can understand companies wanting to reduce production costs - but how about reflecting some of those savings in lower prices?

However there is something to be said about the alledged better QC of some 'merkin putting one together by hand and being able to reject parts there and then, than it coming entirely from a factory elsewhere.
